"Fun with Photos"
A photo of something blue using the rule of thirds:
"Viruses don't move, people do."
A seemingly simple statement but intensely rich in meaning. By the actions of a few and fate the world was exposed to a deadly killer. The site of this breakout, a state looking to monopolize, suppression of information their priority for face-saving. Had the movement of vectors been restricted the world wouldn't have been crippled. But alas! this was no poor easy to dictate government. A war against the unseen now fought with a simple mask but no matter how simple no one is up to the task. Concealment of information, nay, concealing the mouth and nose. So much for face-saving.
A photo of something yellow using the rule of thirds:
A hard hat is used inside the workshop to prevent head injury. Us aspiring engineers got no more than 2 opportunities to wear it though. Then afterwards we saw men on our screens wearing them, proceeding slowly frame by frame. Little did we gain but the point remains, does the helmet prevent mental health damage as well? Too little is known and too late it is now, as we have "braved through" the virtual nightmare with nothing but disdain.
Picture of something using fill-the-frame:
It is said that dogs are man's best friend and cats lack empathy. This feline fellow randomly showed up and we fed her. Now she's a regular and demands food turning away shortly after only to come back later for more. A natural predator will all of the instincts, but none of the hunting skills. Effortless sustenance is blissful in its own ways, yet perhaps, unfulfilling.
Interesting photo of a building from up high or down low:
My date of birth is August 10, 2002. According to Lahoris though it is December 27, 2017, the day I visited the city for the first time ever. A city rich with history with many a sight to see. What is pictured is the Badshahi Masjid - a marvel of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO world heritage site. A Masjid however perhaps symbolically only now. Worshippers few and far in between.
Using leading lines, take a photo of a person or thing

Using different leading lines, take a photo of different person or thing:
A corridor of a place that is very close to my heart. FG Science Degree College, Wah Cantt. Over the 2 years I spent there I made many lasting friendships, had memorable experiences and was taught by excellent teachers. Not without its flaws of course but the positives in hindsight out weigh the few hiccups along the way.
Take a vertical portrait of one of your friends:
This is Asad Mehmood, a good friend from college. He's studying Electronics Engineering from UET Taxila these days. He was our CR in college.
A horizontal portrait of a teacher or classmate:
Syed Tallay Haidar is pictured here in front of NUST's main office. Before coming to the "top notch" university of Pakistan I had a mental model of the types of brilliant people I would encounter. Tallay is a fellow who meets all those expectations. He's a good friend and exceptional in almost all the areas of study in our degree so far. He is our "Big Brain."
ما شاء الله
A creative photo of yourself:

This is a selfie from Ramadan of 2020. I was awake after sehri as the sun came up. I thought a really cool shadow was being casted through the window and snapped this picture. I thought it would look cool but it turned out to be just alright. In this phase of my life I was suspended between college and university and uncertainty regarding the conduct of board exams and entrance tests was at its highest due to covid. Little did we know things would fall in place eventually but be crippled by the pandemic.
